We work with your child when it works for you. Simply log in to Zoom with the link provided and your child is ready for a great lesson with a qualified teacher.
Our teachers are trained to assess your child in phonemic awareness, letter names and sounds, phonics, sight words, fluency, and comprehension. We use data-driven assessments to form lessons specifically designed for your child.
Your child will log into Zoom via the link sent by the teacher. A 30-minute lesson will include any area of reading that your child needs. It may include letter naming and sounds, rhyming games and songs, phonics instruction, blending, segmenting, writing, fluency, comprehension, and more.
Your child will meet with the same teacher each time they log into class. Lessons are built upon previous meetings through review, guided practice, and independent practice.
Students learn math through interactive games and practice during a 30-minute Zoom lesson. We cover any topic that your child needs help in. This can include telling time, elapsed time, computation (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing), rounding, story problems, money, and more.
Students take 40-minute classes twice a week for a total of 24 classes. We cover all the topics of a 30-minute class, but more in-depth. Classes may also include spelling lists or homework to be completed outside of class time. This class is scheduled with your specific needs in mind. Small groups of students learn specific skills together in 30-minute Zoom lessons. These classes range in length from 2-6 weeks and are great for reviewing past material or supplementing current lessons.
I am thrilled to have found Miss Jennifer! You can tell she is truly passionate about her work, and the detailed assessment she gives at the beginning of our work with her, as well as the resources she shares, gave me such a sense of peace and empowerment. I am homeschooling my kindergartener this year, and teaching him to read is a major focus.
